At the beginning of this year, the public movement "My Dome Cathedral" launched a new campaign: "With the thought about the barricades", which aims to present to the Dome Cathedral a new, modern stained-glass window, which will honor the “awakening time”, especially the barricade events and participants of the year 1991.

In the creative idea competition, Krišs Zilgalvis’s work "With Passion for theFreedom of Latvia" won, in which the author offers an untraditional solution for the creation of the stained-glass window. Krišs together with the Vincent’s team has completed the 1st stage –  the concept elaboration. Now, the technical design is being elaborated.

The stained-glass window of this type hasn't been ever created in the world, so it is planned to carry out the research work, to invent the new glass processing technologies. The cooperation in this field has been approved by the leading British company ARUP.

The creating of the stained-glass window is planned up to the year 2014.
