On 24 September in ceremony in Bauskas palace were awarded prizes for the best projects and buildings in the competition «Most sustainable building and project 2015». In the contest nomination Most sustainable project in Latvia in 2015 with a special prize of jury was noted project of Vincent Architecture Open-air centre for sports and outdoor activities on the island Zirgu in Liepaja. The award was given by the head of Spatial Planning Department of the Environmental Protection and Regional Development Ministry, Ilze Aigare. In particular, there was praised rational planning of this project.
Currently Latvia is the only among the Baltic States, where contest Most sustainable building and project 2015 is organized for the third consecutive year, which aims to search for and to find really good projects, whose value is manifested in economic operating costs, sufficient exchange of air and friendliness to the environment and human, what is determined by use of good materials.
As previously reported, earlier in this year the team of Vincents Arhitekti, under the competition of 7 other projects, won the open competitive competition of the designs, which has been announced by the Liepaja City Council, in order to create an open-air centre for sports and outdoor activities on the island Zirgu in the Liepaja Lake.
